"I wrote last month
about needing surgery after your wonderful machine found a large cyst on my
left ovary. I had never known it was there, actually felt absolutely
nothing in that area, so I was shocked to find something so large and ugly
hanging around! I underwent surgery two weeks ago today, and I'm glad to say
the mass was found to be benign. I'm back at work, feeling like just about
the luckiest person on the planet, having decided to go have a full-body
scan in Beverly Hills "for fun". The pathologist showed me the pictures of
the mass, and explained that the discoloring down the middle showed that it
was in the process of actually dividing into two large cysts, and that there
was a bubble on one side, where it was likely to rupture at any time.
Can you even imagine my joy at realizing that this unknown "thing" was up to
absolutely no good whatsoever, and by the time I even knew it was in there,
it would have been too late since it surely would have burst, or mutated
into cells that would have led to cancer. This is the most amazing
machine on the planet, and I'm telling everyone here at Amgen that they
should see what's up inside of each of them, since it's obviously better to
catch something in the beginning stages than wait until it's a major
problem.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering such a remarkable machine.
I'll be back next May for my 1-year check-up. And if you ever need an
endorsement (with yucky photos) of what can be inside us without our even
knowing it, please don't hesitate to contact me."

"I had no symptoms at all, and yet I had a large malignancy on my right kidney. I hate to think what might have happened if my wife hadn't been watching Oprah when she was talking about her Body Scan."
